on the weekend.

\\ went up to visit the boy this weekend, and was lucky enough to watch the sunset over the hudson on the way home.
\\ it is officially winter. for the first time this year i was legitimately freezing, and the boy and i actually had a conversation about how it felt like "a nice 31". yup.
\\ in our shared craving for pasta, we went on a date at one of our favorite restaurants, where we usually eat pasta and one page of their menu is solely devoted to pastas. except they changed that menu. and had zero pastas on it. looks like the joke was on us. still delicious though!
\\ we have often joked about how perfectly hipster a coonskin cap is, even if we've never seen a hipster wear one. this running joke was finally affirmed by a young hipster wearing said coonskin cap to brunch and sitting at a table near us. talk about fulfilling a lifelong dream.
\\ we found a new pizza place that delivers and has better pepperonis than our regular place. it's the little things that make the weekend.
\\ i got my 2011 christmas tree. it's tiny since i live in an nyc studio and all, but it's wonderful all the same.

  6. Did you take a picture of the coonskin cap guy? (Discretely?) I would have loved to see it! My boss wears a tweed deerstalker hat to work and I am dying to take a picture of it! Beautiful Christmas tree btw!

  9. A raccoon-hat-wearing-hipster sighting? Awesome. Recently I had to explain to Mike what a hipster was, bless his heart. Verbal Vomit is a great blog to start with, if you ever find yourself in the same predicament.
